Final Fantasy XV a Success! Broke Even on Day 1 of Release (FF News 2/3/17 to 2/10/17)

Hajime Tabata the director for Final Fantasy XV in a recent interview with Dualshockers was questioned if Final Fantasy XV had broken even. Tabata replied with “Of Course! On Day One.” This interview took place at the Toyko Business Division 2 development floor. So FFXV managed to cover all production costs on November 29th when the game launched worldwide. It was previously reported that the game has sold at least 6 million copies worldwide so it is more than likely that all the FFXV sales after that are 100% pure profit for Square Enix. Hopefully all this money will help Square Enix know that the Final Fantasy series is alive and well and fans are enthusiastic for more games. The money they made from the development of this game will surely have a portion of it given to aid the development costs of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XVI whenever it is announced.
